“I love riding (almost) everything and one of my favorite sports is mountain biking.
In 2018 after finishing my studies in tourism & hospitality industry at Modul University Vienna, I came back home to help my family develop a ski resort in Romania weSKI – Muntele Mic.
Taking into consideration the global warming and my passion for riding bikes made me create the project weRIDE Romania that has the mission to promote the MTB scene and a healthy lifestyle.
The best thing about this sport is that it makes you spend most of the time outdoors, in nature and pushes you to get out your comfort zone. It also teaches the children many lessons about how to be disciplined and builds strong characters. This toy can give you also so much fun and good vibes and I fell in love with it instantly!
Me and my team offer several MTB services and had encountered many struggles with the development of a bike park due to the high corruption level in the governing system. At the moment we are still waiting for the court cases to finish, but I can already see the light at the end of the tunnel!
I never let a problem stop me and I start to think outside the box and this is how I shifted my focus to e-bikes and freeriding. The cherry on top of this sport is #helibiking and since 2019 we started to offer this unique service in the 🇷🇴 Carpathian Mountains.
The universe always has its own way to reward the ones who work for the greater good and have good intentions and this is how I got to know Richard Gasperotti, a guy that inspired me with his life story and his passion for MTB. While visiting Romania to make a movie, he requested our service and the rest is history.
A fruitful connection came out and I can say that the future looks bright for the Romanian MTB scene. Thank you Gaspi for promoting our beautiful country and for spreading the word!
